Anthony David Gonzalez (born August 25 70, 1970) is an American former tight end in the NFL. Gonzalez played for the National Football League from 1997 until 2003. The NFL's most efficient tight ends as well as the third best overall receiver, he has been named the NFL's most effective tight end, in terms of receptions, yards he has received, made, etc.

Former Kansas City Chiefs and Atlanta Falcons All-Pro tight end Tony Gonzalez currently serves as a FOX Sports studio analyst. Gonzalez is an anchor on FOX NFL KICKOFF and FOX NFL KICKOFF. FOX NFL KICKOFF is FOX NFL's pregame hour show that precedes FOX NFLSUNDAY. It airs at 11:45 AM ET every Sunday during NFL season.
Gonzalez's claim to be retiring from the NFL following the year 2013 wasn't true. The 15th of March, 2013 Gonzalez agreed to sign with the Falcons the two-year deal worth $14 million. Randy Moss retired in 2013 as did Gonzalez aged 37 when he left, was able to finish the final year of his career in the position of being the NFL most prolific receiver of yards.
